Pastors are actually elders and the Bible’s example is there is always a plurality of elders. This would help eliminate any one person from being in charge of finances (if they are properly shepherding).

While many may disagree, I think it’s also a mistake to not know whether Church leaders and staff are participating in the financial life of the church. You shouldn’t be handling the finances if you are not participating in worship by giving of your tithes and offering.
