I would have to say that Tim’s points are very important for the church to understand and implement. How can we expect to go out into the world, as Jesus commands us to, and expect them to come to church, especially if all we did was talk in our “church language”.

Imagine if Jesus came from heaven and started talking to us in a heavenly language? How would we understand His message and accept the invitation if He did not walk and talk like us in a manner that we can understand and relate to?

Wow! Great article. I don’t like the word “marketing” but that’s just me. I tend to get hyperspiritual over image rather than substance. Everything said here was so true. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do!

Sounds like you are running a shady corner used car lot, instead of a “church”…come to think of it..it’s difficult to tell the difference in today’s world!
