Dak Prescott
After suffering a compound ankle fracture last year, Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is ready to return to field. While recovering from surgery, he thanked supporters for their prayers and said he’s “excited for God’s purpose and plan.” Despite the setback, Prescott says he’s trusting God. “My faith is doubled down more than ever,” he writes, “and I’m thankful that he’s my Savior and he guides me in life.”
The fifth-year pro, who lost his mother to cancer in 2013 and a brother to suicide in April, recently admitted to seeking help for tough emotions. “I know I’m very fortunate and blessed, and other people have it much…worse,” he says. But Prescott thought it was important “just to be transparent about [mental health], that even in my situation, emotions…can overcome you if you don’t do something about it.”
